Consular Service Centre for Germany now open

The Consular Service Centre (CAC) for Germany opened today, 25 July, and helps people who need information about Portugal's consular services in:

  • Berlin
  • Düsseldorf
  • Stuttgart
  • Hamburg
  • Hattersheim am Main (Frankfurt).

The CAC for Germany is available by telephone in Portuguese and German on +(49) 30767589240. The call centre is open every working day between 9am and 5pm (local time). Outside these hours, the CAC provides automatic information on consular matters.

In addition to the telephone, you can use the CAC's services via the electronic contact form available on the Portal das Comunidades.

Among the subjects on which the Consular Service Centre can provide information are:

  • Consular emergency
  • Registration with the Portuguese consulate
  • Portuguese Citizen Card
  • Travel documents - passport, single travel document, visas
  • Notarial acts - powers of attorney, recognition of signatures, travel authorisations for minors, certificates, etc.
  • Records and certificates - criminal record certificate, nationality, marriage, divorce, birth and death records, among others

The Consular Service Centre also offers online help with public services by video call, via the ePortugal portal. To book, simply go to the service you want and, on the support button, choose the ‘book video call’ option.
