Electronic notifications now available for the Balcão dos Fundos

Agência para a Modernização Administrativa (AMA) and Agência para o Desenvolvimento e Coesão (AD&C) have signed a protocol that allows the adhering Managing Authorities to send electronic notifications regarding the Balcão dos Fundos to beneficiaries, replacing notifications by letter.

Through this service, AD&C can send notifications to:

• Individual entrepreneurs (ENI)
• Legal representatives or employees of companies
• Officers or employees of central government public bodies
• Elected officials or employees of local government public bodies

The electronic notifications can be consulted in the ePortugal reserved area an thhe legal value of these electronic notifications is the same as that of a registered letter.

The notifications also have the following advantages:

• information is organised and sent much more quickly 
• the possibility of forwarding notifications (to lawyers or accountants, for example)
• a smaller ecological footprint.
